Over the weekend of 28-30 June 2014, the National Trust for Scotland will be staging three spectacular days of battle re-enactments, medieval villages, music, theatre, learning, literature and Scottish food and drink to mark the 700th anniversary of one of the most significant battles in Scotland’s history..
Around 45,000 visitors and guests from around the world, including Clan representatives, will be welcomed to Bannockburn for the largest ever re-enactment hosted at the commemorative battlefield. Top-class re-enactors and living historians will be in attendance. The scope of the event has been extended as a result of generous support and input from EventScotland, Creative Scotland and Scotland Food & Drink. The full details are currently being finalised.
