It's said that Robert Burns was so moved when standing on the spot where Robert the Bruce raised his royal standard before the Battle of Bannockburn than he was inspired to write his famous poem 'Scots Wha Hae'; so where better to commemorate the man himself than at the Battle of Bannockburn! You could even walk off your Burns Supper with a visit to the spot itself where the Borestone was located and take in the atmospheric surroundings that so inspired Burns - we don't even mind if you break into a tuneful (or tunelessl!) rendition of 'Scots Wha Hae' on your way!
